Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly staff across multiple manufacturing departments in a union Milwaukee area environment.

You will drive efficient operations, coach employees, and implement lean solutions while ensuring safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes workflow optimization, training, and proactive problem solving for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field desired.
• 5+ years of related experience in operations and prior supervisory/lead experience desired.
• Must be familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid training.
• Ability to think critically, manage time, and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to hourly employees in a manufacturing environment and manage workflow and productivity.
• Train and transfer knowledge to direct reports for training purposes.
• Communicate with managers and peers on operating conditions and suggest improvements.
• Monitor production through metrics and ensure schedule adherence and efficiency.
• Utilize manufacturing software for materials management and shop floor scheduling.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing solutions in a team environment.
• Ensure safety compliance and administer disciplinary action when necessary.
• Appraise performance, attendance and support training programs.
