Job summary

Badger Meter in Racine, WI, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly manufacturing teams and oversee daily operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.

You will provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement across multiple departments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and labor agreements while promoting teamwork and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or operations experience.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with MSDS/SDS requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly manufacturing employees to maximize productivity, quality, and safety.
• Communicate production goals, expectations, and updates to employees and leadership.
• Monitor daily operations, staffing, equipment utilization, and workflow to meet production schedules.
• Analyze operational metrics and implement solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
• Utilize manufacturing systems for production scheduling, materials management, and reporting.
• Identify and resolve production issues involving materials, equipment, quality, and processes.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and labor agreements.
• Conduct performance evaluations, manage attendance, and support employee development and training.
• Promote a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment.
