Job summary

Focus is seeking a Safety Specialist I for its Seneca, SC site to drive safety program management and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. You will deliver training, conduct floor audits, support incident investigations, and coordinate safety initiatives with production and maintenance teams.

The role requires 1–3 years in manufacturing safety, a bachelor’s degree in safety or related field (OSHA cert preferred), and familiarity with ISO 45001/14001 standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Safety/Environment or related field preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 hour General Industry certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with EHS software and regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO 14001/45001).

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing OSHA-required safety training and maintain training records.
• Conduct daily floor safety oversight and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
• Assist in incident investigations using interviews and root-cause analysis.
• Assist in emergency drills across production and warehouse areas.
• Coordinate monthly safety committee meetings and administer safety programs.
• Support review and updates of JSA documents, safety manuals, and ISO standards.
