Job summary

Veracity Ventures Inc. in Graniteville, SC is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Specialist to lead onsite health and safety programs across our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant safety field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive health and safety experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard programs.
• Knowledge of ergonomics, machine guarding, LOTO, confined space, hot work, and contractor safety.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver safety training to all levels.
• Experience managing OSHA records, injury/illness reporting, and regulatory docs; proficient with MS Office and data tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills; ability to influence across teams.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting and respond to off-shift incidents or audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Partner with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to identify and mitigate hazards and health risks.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace inspections to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor safety performance metrics, injury trends, and regulatory reporting to identify improvements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and liaison with health and safety agencies.
• Develop and deliver health and safety training for teammates, contractors, and leaders.
• Support emergency preparedness and crisis management activities.
• Facilitate safety committees and engagement initiatives promoting involvement and accountability.
• Lead projects with diverse scope, working independently with limited supervision.
• Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance safety and operations.
• Use advanced analytical and technical problem-solving to improve processes and procedures.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through communication and collaboration.
