Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks an Site EHS Specialist to support facility operations by implementing and improving Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. You will work with plant leadership to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and develop a proactive safety culture focused on risk identification and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification required; OSHA 511 preferred.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Experience auditing, inspecting, training, and investigating incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve EHS programs, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action development.
• Deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, contractors, and visitors.
• Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 recordkeeping requirements.
• Support workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work programs.
• Coordinate contractor safety management activities.
• Support emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, and emergency response activities.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and HR to identify and mitigate hazards.
