Job summary

General Motors in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a Quality Engineer to support day-to-day quality needs in a fast-paced engine component manufacturing setting. You will analyze data, determine root causes, and implement containment and corrective actions to improve quality and throughput.

Collaboration across functions and clear communication are essential as you develop quality work instructions and coordinate repairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Internal GM Candidate.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and ability to comfortably use computers and learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Quality needs of Manufacturing.
• Problem-solve (analyze data, determine root causes, develop implementation plans) and resolve issues affecting quality, assembly, or throughput.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Develop quality work instructions.
• Ensure effective containment for non-conforming product.
• Coordinate repair and rework activities.
• Support implementation and adherence to all elements of the Spring Hill Quality System.
