The Manufacturing Project Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. provides technical expertise in manufacturing process development projects for continuous improvement of safety, quality, velocity and cost of manufacturing.

You will lead a portfolio of new capital programs for capacity growth and capability improvement, working with internal/external suppliers to support/improve productivity and cost effectiveness. You will mentor engineers to develop high quality products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of new capital programs for capacity growth and capability improvement.
• Provide technical expertise to support/improve manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness with internal/external suppliers.
• Evaluate major systems and coordinate with the total plant.
• Direct suppliers to analyze product/design feasibility and propose improvements.
• Mentor manufacturing engineers and operators to develop high quality products and processes.
