Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in the Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead capital programs, drive capacity growth, and enhance safety, quality and cost efficiency across manufacturing operations.

The role partners with suppliers and internal teams to deliver high‑impact projects onsite. The position requires strong leadership, engineering expertise in manufacturing, and the ability to mentor engineers and operators to implement robust processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment and capacity planning concepts.
• Familiarity with CAD/engineering practices and projections.
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of new capital programs for capacity growth and capability improvement.
• Provide technical guidance in major manufacturing projects with internal/external suppliers to improve productivity and cost.
• Evaluate major systems and coordinate with the total plant.
• Direct suppliers to analyze current or proposed designs to improve process or product.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to manufacturing engineers and operators to develop high quality products and processes.
