Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a hands-on supervisor to manage hourly production staff in Michigan. You will drive production goals, monitor quality and safety, and report on metrics such as scrap and overtime.

The role requires coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering, Tooling, and Production Control to keep lines running smoothly. The ideal candidate has at least five years in manufacturing leadership, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in any industry or supervisory/leadership experience.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
• Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug tests.
• Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.
• Strong communication, trouble shooting, administrative and organizational skills.
• Must have right to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage hourly employees to meet established production goals for quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale; ensure procedures are followed and data is recorded.
• Create cross-training plans and maintain training records for all hourly team members; monitor time and attendance and troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate needs with other departments and shifts; supervise 5S; monitor inventory for shipping requirements; maintain customer communications.
• Comply with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
