Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes for new or legacy products. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost safety, quality, scrap reduction, efficiency and machine utilization.

The role requires knowledge of process engineering practices, guided Six Sigma tools, and strong analytical and project management skills. You will collaborate across R&D, Engineering and operations in a plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in plant manufacturing operations; experience in the relevant manufacturing process a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma problem-solving tool experience (DMAIC, Process Mapping, Pareto Chart, 5-Whys, 5S, Fishbone Diagram, Cause & Effect); Green Belt a plus.
• Role is based in a manufacturing plant environment with regular exposure to production floor conditions; standard PPE required in designated areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives including safety, product quality, scrap and cost reduction, efficiency, and machine utilization.
• Support evaluation and qualification of process parameters, equipment, and materials; support implementation of process control plans and PFMEA under guidance from the Operations and Quality Manager.
• Update and maintain manufacturing process procedures; perform technical studies and process characterization/optimization; document and monitor process performance and consistency.
• Conduct SPC analysis to assess results for applicability, validity, and conformance to product specifications; monitor process specs and tolerances against standard.
• Provide training and technical support to manufacturing teams to resolve quality and production issues and improve throughput; lead problem-solving investigations and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), qualifications, automation efforts, plant trials, and capability studies under direction of the Operations Manager; own Six Sigma process variation reduction projects at the site level.
