Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer for the Exton, PA area to support product development into manufacturing, implement Design for Manufacturing, and drive workflow improvements across NPI projects.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, understands Lean/Six Sigma, SPC, gauge R&R, and collaborates with R&D, Quality and Production to resolve design and manufacturing challenges. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 USD.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree engineering preferred.
Degrees in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering or AS degrees with relevant experience considered.
Recent graduates from related programs welcome to apply.
Design/Repair of assembly and automated test fixtures.
Knowledge of 5-S, problem solving, Root Cause/Corrective Actions, Gauge R&R, and process capability studies.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and analytical tools.
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Responsibilities

Support product development initiatives into manufacturing processes through NPD process by completing manufacturing related tasks such as Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and workflow improvements.
Develop and execute test protocols to validate software/firmware changes affecting products in Production and Service Centers.
Perform failure investigations on nonconforming material and analyze customer complaints to implement preventive actions.
Utilize manufacturing tests and diagnostic protocols to improve yield, quality, and performance.
Conduct gauge R&R and process capability studies for new or existing processes.
