Job summary

Outer Armor by Commercial Sewing, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to improve production processes, support new product launches, and drive continuous improvement in a multi-SKU, semi-custom environment.

The role bridges engineering and operations—owning implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of manufacturing systems to boost throughput, quality, and cost efficiency. 5+ years of experience, Lean/Six Sigma preferred, CAD proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and work with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in high-mix/configurable production environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks and variability.
• Implement improvements to increase throughput, yield, and cost efficiency.
• Lead or support Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma initiatives.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Create and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
