Job summary

Safariland seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support and lead process development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

In this role you will design, validate, and implement cost-saving improvements, manage capital projects, and collaborate with Product Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to optimize performance and cost using Lean methods like Kaizen and 6S. Strong CAD in SolidWorks and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, engineering or process improvement.
• Lean tools experience: Kaizen and 6S.
• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD.
• Experience managing capital equipment projects.
• Strong cross-team collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Process Development & Improvement: develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Testing & Validation: design and conduct developmental tests and prototypes.
• Engineering & Technical Support: CAD support and capital project planning.
• Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives: lead Kaizen and 6S projects to boost throughput.
