Job summary

Qualifications

• BS / MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or engineering.
• LEAN / Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in development of fixtures & Jigs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production tasks and drawings to ensure CTF metrics; create tools, fixtures or gauges for production and quality.
• Collaborate with production and quality to implement new tools, fixtures and gauges on the process.
• Conduct time studies and audits to validate labor estimates and costs.
• Lead cross-functional teams with Engineering, Production and Estimating to drive efficiencies and remove non-value-added activities.
• Coordinate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and implement improvements.
• Document and track cost savings and process improvements against targets.
• Plan and execute facility and work cell layout modifications to optimize material and product flow.
• Develop and maintain cost models for estimating direct labor and raw materials.
