Job summary

Aero Propulsion Support in Harrison, OH seeks a Quality Manufacturing - Process Engineer Level III to advance Lean processes, document procedures, and improve production of gas turbine components. The role emphasizes process development, problem solving, and quality control within a precision shop environment.

The engineer will develop and implement lean methods, create and revise EPs, IIs, and PIs, and work with CNC machinery to boost throughput while reducing rework and delays.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education.
• 3–5 years of directly related experience.
• Knowledge of PCDMS CMM software.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor CAD software.
• Knowledge of MasterCam CAM software.
• Write and revise Engineering Plans (EP).
• Utilize CNC machinery and Lean methodology to increase production and improve quality.
• Troubleshoot processes for rework, variance, and cycle-time reduction.
• Write and revise Inspection Instructions (II) and Process Instructions (PI).
• Strong mechanical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process development, scheduling, reading and understanding technical manuals, problem solving and program management.
• Inspection (dimensional and visual) to help workflow.
• Follow quality systems and procedures as required.
