Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology preferred (Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing).
• 0-2 years experience with degree; 5+ years in lieu of degree.
• Strong computer skills (CAD, CAM, word processing, spread sheets, and databases).
• Excellent written and verbal communication across departments.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic to improve manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and direction to manufacturing for improving methods and solving engineering/tooling discrepancies.
• Initiate corrective actions for problems in manufacturing stemming from process discrepancies.
• Coordinate tooling design, fabrication and rework.
• Operate and analyze measurement data from portable CMM machines and laser scanners.
• Identify and implement improvement projects to boost safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Advise Engineering on tooling and manufacturability and suggest design modifications.
• Support materials and vendors with necessary manufacturing/engineering/tooling information.
• Support process validation and qualification activities.
