Job summary

HappyGlobal Service in Houston is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the setup of a new manufacturing facility and oversee ongoing plant operations. You will coordinate equipment arrival, installation, and readiness while establishing procedures and safety practices.

You will manage daily plant and warehouse activities, help staff recruitment and training, and report progress to the Houston Head of Operations and the management team in China. On-site work in Houston is required.

Qualifications

Company OverviewOur client is an established renewable energy equipment manufacturer preparing to launch a new manufacturing facility in Houston. Production equipment is currently being shipped to the United States, and the facility is expected to begin operations in the coming months.This position will be one of the first key hires supporting the company’s U.S. expansion. The Operations Supervisor will work closely with the Houston-based Head of Operations and the management team in China to support facility setup, production readiness, and ongoing plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup and launch of a new manufacturing facility in Houston.
• Coordinate equipment arrival, installation, facility preparation, and operational readiness.
• Oversee daily plant, warehouse, and general site operations after production begins.
• Develop and implement operating procedures, workflows, and safety practices.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, logistics providers, and other external partners.
• Assist with staffing, training, scheduling, and supervision of frontline employees.
• Monitor operational performance and resolve day-to-day issues.
• Provide regular updates to the Houston Operations Head and the management team in China.
• Support future expansion of the company’s U.S. supply chain, warehouse, and logistics functions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing operations, plant operations, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related environment.
• Experience supporting a facility launch, equipment installation, or operational ramp-up is preferred but not required.
• Candidates with factory management experience in China or other international markets are welcome.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving startup environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Must be able to work on-site in Houston.
• Must have permanent, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. The employer is unable to provide current or future visa sponsorship.
