Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations & Supply Chain who will have full accountability for end-to-end operational, financial, and customer performance of the Houston site. This role owns site-level P&L execution and balance sheet efficiency, including forecasting, margins, inventory management, and working capital performance. The Director leads manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer fulfillment to ensure safe, compliant, on-time, and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products. The successful candidate will operate in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment with both standard platforms and engineered‑to‑order solutions, driving continuous improvement while supporting new product introductions and evolving product mix across Core and growth segments.

Site P&L & Operational Performance
  • Own site-level P&L including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, forecast accuracy, and working capital optimization across inventory, A/R, and A/P.
  • Drive on‑time delivery performance, lead‑time reduction, and productivity improvement.
Operations & Supply Chain
  • Lead manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer fulfillment in a shared facility environment.
  • Own the operational customer experience, from quote through delivery and issue resolution.
  • Manage domestic and international supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Leverage analytics and automation to drive daily management and operational KPIs.
  • Lead Lean/CI initiatives; partner with Engineering on process improvement and NPD launch readiness.
  • Adapt operations to evolving product mix and support inorganic growth integration as applicable.
People & Organization
  • Build and develop high‑performing teams; own talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, regulatory, and EHS requirements.
Travel
  • 10–15% travel may be required.
Leadership
  • Direct reports include Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Quality Leader, and Customer Service Manager with scope to scale as business growth and complexity require.
  • Dotted‑line partnership with Finance, Sales, Engineering, and HR.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in supply chain and/or engineering.
  • 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Supply chain and operations experience within industrial manufacturing required; valve, flow control, or engineered‑to‑order products preferred.
  • Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing a site‑level P&L, including gross margin, EBITDA, and working capital optimization.
  • ERP proficiency required; experience with demand planning, MRP, and production scheduling systems.
  • Proven track record with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Data‑driven decision maker; comfortable leveraging analytics, KPIs, and digital tools to drive operational performance.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Experience operating within a high‑accountability, results‑oriented governance environment preferred.
  • Experience managing operations within a shared or multi‑tenant facility is a plus.
Working Conditions

The employee will work in an office and manufacturing plant environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate (office) to loud (production area).
