Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience managing a factory, manufacturing facility, warehouse, or large-scale operational site.
  • Experience with new facility setup, plant construction, equipment installation, or operational ramp-up is highly preferred.
  • U.S. factory management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Chinese language skills are a plus and helpful for cross-border coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Support new facility setup and launch planning.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and internal teams on facility construction and infrastructure.
  • Develop operational plans, SOPs, and processes for production readiness.
  • Support equipment installation, testing, and ramp-up.
  • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Monitor KPIs, cost, quality, and inventory; drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across Production, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to oversee the establishment and ongoing operations of a new manufacturing facility in the United States.

This role will be responsible for supporting the new facility setup, plant infrastructure development, operational readiness, and day-to-day factory operations after launch. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience managing a manufacturing facility, warehouse, or large‑scale operations and is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment.

Candidates with U.S. manufacturing experience are preferred, but not required. Candidates with solid factory management experience in China or other countries, as well as strong warehouse/operations management experience, will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
1. New Facility Setup & Launch
  • Support the planning and establishment of a new manufacturing facility in the U.S.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, engineers, and internal teams on facility construction, equipment installation, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Develop operational plans, processes, and SOPs to ensure the facility is ready for production.
  • Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues during the facility launch phase.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Develop and implement operational processes, policies, and SOPs.
  • Monitor production performance, operational efficiency, quality, inventory, and operating costs.
  • Establish and track key operational KPIs and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional activities across Production, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, EHS, and other relevant functions.
3. Warehouse & Supply Chain Operations
  • Oversee material receiving, storage, inventory control, and internal material movement.
  • Ensure efficient warehouse operations and accurate inventory management.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, plant operations, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience managing a factory, manufacturing facility, warehouse, or large‑scale operational site.
  • Experience with new facility setup, plant construction, equipment installation, or operational ramp‑up is highly preferred.
  • U.S. factory management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates with strong China‑based factory management experience are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates with strong warehouse management / operations management experience may also be considered.
  • Strong project management, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed during the facility construction and launch phases.
  • Strong English communication skills required; Chinese language skills are a plus.
