Job summary

TAS Energy, a Houston-based manufacturer of modular cooling systems, is seeking an Operations Project Manager II to plan, execute and deliver moderate-scope manufacturing projects. You will own execution strategy, lead cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, and Production Planning, ensuring on-time and on-budget results.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement aligned with TAS operations standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
  • Military leadership and/or technical work experience may substitute for the engineering degree.
  • 5–8 years of progressive manufacturing, operations, or project execution experience.
  • Experience with Lean or ISO 9001 (or other QMS).
  • Familiarity with Fabrication, Welding & Assembly processes.

Responsibilities

  • Independently develop, own, and execute Production and Project Execution Plans aligned with objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, and Planning.
  • Own project-level cost and schedule performance, including CPI/SPI analysis and ETC/EAC forecasting.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate execution risks related to labor, materials, capacity, design maturity, and vendor performance.
  • Lead corrective action planning for variances impacting cost, schedule, or quality.
  • Represent Operations in project team meetings and with the EPC Scheduler to align schedules.
  • Create redlines for shop drawings and initiate ECNs based on shop floor changes.
  • Develop labor forecasts and resource plans to support fabrication and assembly.
  • Participate in design reviews to assess constructability and risk.
  • Develop and maintain work breakdown structure for projects.
