Job summary

Implementation Engineers is seeking a Manufacturing & Operations Consultant with deep Lean and Six Sigma expertise to lead high-impact operational improvement initiatives in client environments. The role is hands-on, working in plants, warehouses, and operational settings to diagnose issues, design practical solutions, and implement change that delivers measurable results.

You will coach client teams, mentor Green and Yellow Belts, and help clients build lasting CI capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Operations Management also considered.
• 7–10+ years in manufacturing or operations consulting environments.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (ASQ, IASSC, or corporate program).
• Deep Lean expertise: value stream mapping, kaizen facilitation, standard work, pull systems, and management systems.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis (hypothesis testing, regression, DOE, SPC, MSA, process capability).
• Experience leading operational improvement initiatives and workstreams with defined objectives.
• Strong project management: planning, tracking, risk management.
• Advanced Excel; Power BI strongly preferred.
• Experience in plant/shop-floor environments.
• Strong communication skills with executive presence; travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose current-state operations end to end: production, material flow, supply chain, and support processes.
• Lead value stream mapping and process walks; validate root causes with data tools.
• Design future-state solutions: flow, layout, labor models, capacity, inventory, pull systems.
• Drive execution: kaizen events, rapid improvement activities; implement Lean tools.
• Coordinate across client stakeholders and IE team members for alignment.
• Sustain improvements: tiered meetings, KPIs, leader standard work, accountability structures.
• Coach frontline leaders; deliver Lean Six Sigma training as needed.
• Build continuous improvement capability and deployment strategy with client.
