Job summary

nVent is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily operations within the value stream in Houston, ensuring production commitments are met while driving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity improvements.

You will optimize processes, systems, tooling, and equipment, lead cross-functional improvement initiatives, and coach supervisory staff to build bench strength and future leaders. Strong analytical and change-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or related field preferred.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing operations leadership preferred, with 3+ years leading Supervisors.
• Proven track record of leading teams to achieve ambitious goals.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations within the value stream to meet production commitments and drive continuous improvement.
• Improve manufacturing performance through optimized processes, systems, tooling and equipment.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to production teams to achieve goals.
• Cultivate engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
