Job summary

nVent is seeking a manufacturing leader to drive Lean initiatives and supervise day-to-day production within value streams in Minnesota. You will engage employees in problem solving, track daily performance on communication boards, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes people management, development of current and future state value stream maps, and collaboration on new process/product implementations to support a global operations footprint.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree an asset.
• Ideally 3+ years’ manufacturing operations experience.
• Ideally 1+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities within value streams to meet commitments while improvements are made.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean deployment and problem solving with employees.
• Track daily performance using process center communication boards.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment and support safety programs.
• Manage manufacturing operations employees: performance, time/attendance, progressive discipline.
