Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Engineer / Supervisor for our Indiana facilities. This hybrid role focuses on optimizing assembly processes and leading production teams, with emphasis on ergonomics, efficiency, and error-proofing.

You’ll serve as the SME on lines, driving a first-time-right culture for automotive lighting customers. The position is on 3rd shift (Sunday 8PM – Friday 8AM) and involves implementing TPM, 5S, and QMS standards while promoting safety and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering preferred; experience may substitute.
• 0-3 years in automotive manufacturing, especially assembly.
• Experience with PFMEA, Lean (VPS), and time measurement methods.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead line workshops to reduce costs, cycle times, and scrap to achieve best-in-class status.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability constraints are respected.
• Create and manage work instructions, PFMEAs and QA checklists.
• Be the SME for assigned lines to pilot improvements and support new equipment integration.
• Apply quality measures to ensure first-time-right parts for customers.
