Job summary

Adecco is seeking an Operations Accountant for a manufacturing company in Andover. The role covers product costing, inventory valuation, month-end close, and operational financial reporting.

You will analyze variances, support budgeting and forecasting, and partner across departments to improve data accuracy and controls. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with hours 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Manufacturing environment experience required.
• Medical device or other regulated-industry experience preferred.
• Multinational company experience preferred.
• French and/or German proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead in SAP.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and production data in partnership with Operations and Engineering.
• Perform month-end close activities, including WIP calculations, variance settlements, and cost allocations.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, scrap, and absorption variances and support root-cause analysis.
• Perform inventory valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory activities.
• Prepare recurring cost, variance, and financial reports and support monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Provide cost analysis to Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams and track cost improvement initiatives.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cost assumptions.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve financial data accuracy, processes, systems, and controls.
• Support new financial systems, reporting tools, VMI programs, and inventory/procurement improvements.
• Provide backup support for logistics and purchasing functions as needed.
