Job summary

Roessel Joy is partnering with a manufacturing company in Newburyport, MA to add a Senior Accountant focused on cost accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variance analysis, and month-end close. The role will collaborate with plant leadership and the accounting team to drive financial insights and process improvements.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, standard costing maintenance, journal entries, inventory counts, and budgeting support, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–8 years of accounting experience.
• Strong manufacturing industry experience.
• Solid cost accounting experience.
• Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
• Inventory accounting and physical inventory count experience.
• Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
