Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in Beverly, MA to support AP, AR, GL, inventory reconciliation, and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting. Reporting to the Controller, you will assist with month-end and year-end close, prepare journal entries, and help maintain accurate financial records across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and cost accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and prepaid expenses.
• Prepare and reconcile journal entries as part of the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with maintaining accurate general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and profit and loss (P&L) reporting.
• Provide financial and accounting support to various departments throughout the organization.
• Assist with customer inquiries and account reconciliation related to accounts receivable.
• Review financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
