Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, Michigan seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead our Ti-Cast Plant 5 operations.

You will direct shop floor teams, promote manufacturing excellence, and drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and delivery while aligning goals with corporate objectives. The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and leadership development for supervisors and cell leaders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 7+ years of experience in leadership roles; 3 of the 7 years must be as a direct supervisor.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• This position entails access to export‑controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
• Preferred: BA/BS in Business Administration or Engineering.
• Experience in investment casting/manufacturing is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to drive Lean manufacturing principles, total quality practices, Six Sigma.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day operations of manufacturing shop floor teams.
• Promote manufacturing excellence and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement of plant performance metrics (quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery, cash flow).
• Develop budgets and strategic plans aligned with BU objectives.
• Identify and implement cost reductions to improve profitability.
• Apply lean manufacturing tools to reduce WIP and cycle time.
