Job summary

IPG is seeking a Manufacturing Manager I in Michigan to lead daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. You will guide department supervisors, drive continuous improvement, and manage resources to meet performance goals.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field and 5+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in a union environment, with PSM experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in a supervisor or manager role; union environment preferred.
• PSM experience is preferred.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based technologies.
• Demonstrated manufacturing-based project management and continuous improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Assign workloads and monitor departments to meet service levels and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction projects across the plant.
• Develop and execute annual performance plans to achieve site goals.
• Coordinate with other departments and leadership to optimize resources and technology.
