Job summary

IPG is seeking a Manufacturing Manager I for Protective Packaging to lead daily plant operations, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and manage teams within the Protected Packaging department.

The role requires 5+ years in a maintenance supervisory or managerial position, a technical degree, and proven project management with lean six sigma principles to optimize performance and cost. This is an on-site opportunity in a manufacturing setting with growth potential at IPG.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other (applicable) technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance supervisor or manager role.
• Proficient use of computer based skills including Microsoft Office Suite and web based technologies.
• Demonstrated manufacturing based project management and continuous improvement skills, including a fundamental understanding of lean six sigma and IPS.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to manage heavy workload within busy manufacturing environment and successfully complete projects within assigned deadlines

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and waste reduction initiatives.
• Align resources and schedules with equipment maintenance and production needs.
• Collaborate with site leadership to drive performance metrics and certifications.
• Communicate clearly with teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage labor and capital resources to balance budgets and output.
