Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Phoenix, AZ Ice Cream Plant. This onsite role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support our Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring operational efficiency. This job position is for 3rd shift (9pm to 5:30 am) of 8 hours shifts, we are currently working 5 days a week but we will go to 6 days during our busy season.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment to ensure continuous production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance and product support areas.
• Complete work order documentation and summary reports accurately.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and TPM/RCM programs.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize Safeway computer applications for data entry and maintenance transactions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support plant operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in a maintenance technician role.
Technical Skills:

• Working knowledge of valves, actuators, gaskets, seals, and HTST processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office & Teams preferred).
• Knowledge of electrical theory and PLC programming is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Safety & Compliance:

• Required to wear PPE, including goggles and ear protection.
• Steel-toed boots must be worn.
• Additional safety equipment provided as needed.
