Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I

Location: E. Pecan Road, Phoenix, AZ 85040
Pay Rate: $32.00/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM), 6 Days a Week (Seasonal)

About the Opportunity:

MMC is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I to join our team at the Phoenix Ice Cream Plant. This position offers the potential for extension and full-time conversion based on performance.

Position Details:

• 8-hour shifts, 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM)
• 5 days per week, increasing to 6 days during peak season
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and mandatory overtime during busy periods
• On-site position only (no remote work)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance tasks supporting Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs
• Complete accurate work orders and maintenance reports
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain organized and clean maintenance areas
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities
• Enter data and execute transactions using Safeway computer systems
• Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations
• Build strong relationships with internal and external partners
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions
• Plan and execute projects following GMPs and safety policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of maintenance technician experience in manufacturing
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Familiarity with valves, actuators, seals, gaskets, and HTST processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Positive team player with a flexible attitude
• Knowledge of electrical theory and PLC programming

Safety Requirements:

• PPE including goggles and ear protection (provided)
• Steel-toed boots required
• Additional safety equipment as needed
