Maintenance Planner – Manufacturing Industry (Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive maintenance & repairs to ensure equipment reliability.)

Location: Alsip, IL Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday) Pay:DOE

Role Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and spare parts inventory to optimize production efficiency. This position is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring machinery operates at peak performance.

Qualifications & Skills: ️ 2+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or coordination. ️ strong knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies & work order management. ️ Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment. ️ Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like PMC. ️ Ability to read and interpret mechanical & electrical schematics. ️ strong organizational and problem-solving skills. ️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). ️ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Important Details: ️ Strictly onsite – no remote work available. ️ This is a SQF (Safe Quality Food) certified facility. Employees must comply with strict hygiene protocols, including:

Responsibilities

️ Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for equipment and machinery.
️ Plan & coordinate preventive maintenance tasks to ensure regular inspections, lubrication, and calibrations.
️ Schedule & organize equipment repairs and maintenance shutdowns while minimizing production disruptions.
️ Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components.
️ Generate and track work orders for maintenance activities, documenting materials, labor hours, and repair details.
️ Monitor equipment performance data and collaborate with maintenance teams to identify potential issues proactively.
️ Analyze maintenance records to recommend improvements that enhance equipment reliability.
️ Work closely with production & maintenance teams to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
️ Assist in controlling & improving repair & maintenance costs.
️ Support condition-based monitoring programs to improve equipment performance.



The essential functions of this role include:
