Job Summary

Maintenance Planner responsibilities include planning functions related to preventative maintenance, assigning work orders, checking inventory, staging parts, and indirectly leading maintenance technicians through this process.

Job Duties

• Scheduling Preventative Maintenance (PMs)
• Developing daily & weekend plans for technicians to complete work orders
• Verifying inventory of parts needed for kitting process
• Tracking and monitoring the process of PMs and work orders
• Tracking downtime due to mechanical breakdowns
• Closing work orders as completed
• Tracking time to complete PMs and work orders
• Updating PM master list to reflect correct time and parts
• Coordinating parts ordering with the MRO Procurement Analyst

Required Knowledge & Competencies

Knowledge of:

• Purchasing, maintenance functions, machine parts

Skills in:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Exposure to lean concepts such as 5S, equipment center lining, and metrics like MTBF and MTTR
• Extensive experience with CMMS, preferably MP2 by Infor or similar software
• Exposure to high-speed packaging lines, preferably in the food industry

Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail

Proficiency in:

• MS Office Suite and SAP

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma with 3-5 years relevant experience
• College degree preferred with 2-3 years’ experience

Physical Requirements

• Sitting at a workstation for short periods
• Frequent calls requiring immediate response
• Standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders
• Infrequent lifting of 20 pounds

Work Environment

• Primarily in a manufacturing production floor
• Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, forklifts, temperature fluctuations

The pay range is $58,962 - $88,444/year, depending on location, experience, skills, and education. Benefits include health, dental, 401k, and wellness programs.
