Custom Paper Tubes in Valley View, OH is looking to hire a full- or part-time Manufacturing Machine Operator / Setup Tech & General Assembler to set up and operate spiral paper tube winders for our manufacturing company. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MANUFACTURING MACHINE OPERATOR / SETUP TECH & GENERAL ASSEMBLER

As a full- or part-time Manufacturing Machine Operator / Setup Tech & General Assembler, you play a vital role in the operations of our business. Your primary responsibility is to set up machines according to the work order & job specifications. Using your mechanical skills, you troubleshoot and adjust the setup as needed. You pull all necessary materials and tools to perform measuring, cutting, assembly, and other operations as necessary for production. As a skillful assembler, you fill, weigh, and label each package. Always attentive to detail, you keep an inventory of materials and alert managers when items are low. You complete high-quality work, making sure to monitor and maintain excellent production performance. Safety is your highest priority as you operate machines, so you make sure to follow all rules to the letter. As someone who loves to learn new things, you enjoy the opportunities to be cross-trained on other production equipment. With each job, you take pride in a job well done!

As a dependable worker, you take accountability for managing your material inventory and alerting personnel when supplies run low. You ensure that clients are happy with their custom orders by carefully counting or weighing products packed into cartons, then printing and applying labels. You take pride in the quality of your work, and you enjoy giving recycled materials a second life as beautiful packaging!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MANUFACTURING MACHINE OPERATOR / SETUP TECH & GENERAL ASSEMBLER

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or similar trade
  • High school diploma OR equivalent
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficiency with rulers and calipers
  • Ability to squat/lift items above shoulders (up to 40 pounds)
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements, such as standing for long periods throughout the shift, for the position

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MANUFACTURING MACHINE OPERATOR / SETUP TECH & GENERAL ASSEMBLER

This production position works the 1st shift and typically has a 4-day schedule of Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional Friday shifts may be required to meet demand.
