Extruder Operator / Machine Operator (Days/Nights)

Intralox, LLC has an opening for a Machine Operator to work in the ThermoDrive Manufacturing Department based in Twinsburg, OH. The Machine Operator will be primarily responsible for the safe start-up, setup, and operation of thermoplastic extrusion equipment. This position offers shifts during DayShift (7:00AM - 7:00PM) or Night Shift (7:00PM - 7:00AM), reporting to the ThermoDrive Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Start-up, set-up, operate, and tend the extruder to meet customer specifications and dimensions according to work orders.
• Load materials into the extruder and adjust feed mechanisms to set feed rates.
• Control and adjust machine controls for the extrusion process.
• Monitor machine operations, control panels, and gauges to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Stop the machine promptly when processes are complete or issues are detected.
• Complete work orders and production reports accurately and thoroughly.
• Maintain mental alertness while operating machinery to ensure safety.
• Participate in training to understand all production floor positions and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a machine operator, preferably in a plastic environment.
• Experience with tow motor operation.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand specifications.
• Mathematical aptitude and proficiency with measuring devices (ruler, caliper, dial indicator, micrometer, scale).
• Manual dexterity and capability to use hand tools for setup and operation.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 50-100 pounds with or without assistance.
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting during shifts.
• Adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
• Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of plastic sheet extrusion is a plus.
• Regular and punctual attendance.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED minimum.
