Job summary

RTX Corporation offers an Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) for Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering across U.S. locations. You will engage in high-visibility assignments, receive mentorship, and gain hands-on shop floor engineering experience, with a cohort beginning June 2027.

This on-site program requires relocation to multiple RTX sites; a strong engineering foundation and internship experience are expected for future leadership roles within RTX’s global manufacturing network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, industrial, or closely related engineering discipline.
  • Willing and able to relocate to RTX locations across the United States for program assignments.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, or manufacturing process specifications.
  • Experience with CAD/analytical software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, MATLAB or Minitab.
  • Experience with Lean principles, Six Sigma, RCA or 5S frameworks.
  • Relevant internship/co-op or work experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, quality or test environments.

Responsibilities

  • Complete multiple rotational assignments across various U.S. locations to adapt to new facilities and teams.
  • Execute core engineering duties and projects in program tracks like Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Parts Manufacturing, and Operational Efficiency.
  • Identify and implement shop floor process improvements to increase output and reduce costs.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to shop floor personnel to resolve challenges and implement improvements.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T to support manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize advanced design and analytical software to enhance operations.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing planning, sequencing, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Participate in high-impact projects involving cost reduction and supplier support.
