Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a capable leader to drive day-to-day production for the Generator Winding shop at the Richmond Service Center. You will coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet schedules while upholding safety, quality, and cost targets across multiple shifts.

You will coach and develop team members, collaborate with technical leads and quality technicians, and review production orders to ensure timely, efficient repairs and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate’s degree or 4+ years in a manufacturing role.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, repair, or services environment.
• Prior leadership experience in a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production leadership for the Generator Winding shop team to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet customer requirements, production schedules, and key objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Lead first-line shop activities across multiple shifts, partnering with Technical Leads, Quality Technicians, and other support functions to ensure smooth execution of work.
• Review production orders, execute schedules, and remove barriers that could impact output, quality, or timeliness.
• Identify and solve problems, eliminate waste, and drive visual management and Daily Management System discipline across the department.
• Analyze equipment, skill, and process issues, take corrective action, and help minimize downtime and disruption to schedules.
