Job summary

GE Vernova’s Richmond Service Center seeks a hands-on Production Lead to guide the Mechanical Assembly shop. You will drive safe, reliable, and efficient operations while coaching a diverse team across shifts.

You’ll coordinate workflow, review orders, and partner with technical leads to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. This role requires onsite work and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm).
• Associate's Degree or HS Diploma with 4+ years in manufacturing.
• Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing, repair, or services.
• Prior leadership in a similar industry.
• Willing to work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
• Onsite at the GE Richmond Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production leadership for the Mechanical Assembly shop.
• Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet customer needs and schedules.
• Lead first-line shop activities across multiple shifts with support functions.
• Review production orders and schedules; remove barriers to output, quality and timeliness.
• Identify and solve problems; drive visual management and daily discipline.
• Analyze machine and process issues; minimize downtime.
• Support process improvement and assist Cell Leader decisions.
• Perform administrative duties like time sheets and labor vouchering.
• Coach and develop team members to strengthen performance and safety.
• Use strong communication to support a high-performing team environment.
