Job summary

GE Vernova Lead Generator Design Liaison Engineer on the Pensacola, FL floor provides advanced technical leadership to translate design intent into manufacturable, high-quality production outcomes across generator components.

You will work with design, manufacturing, quality and operations, resolve issues, drive producibility improvements, mentor junior engineers, and support the lifecycle of GE Vernova's 50 Hz and 60 Hz generators across rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years in generator or manufacturing engineering or a design/manufacturing liaison role.
• Technical knowledge of rotor, armature core, winding, laminations, and armature bars.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical problem solving on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface between generator design engineering and manufacturing on the factory floor.
• Drive continuous improvements in design manufacturability while balancing performance, quality, safety, and cost.
• Engage early in the design process and participate in design reviews focusing on manufacturability.
• Lead resolution of design-to-manufacturing issues across rotor, core, winding, laminations, and bars.
• Translate engineering requirements into clear directions for manufacturing teams.
• Partner with shop operations to resolve nonconformances and lead root-cause and corrective actions.
• Identify and mitigate risks in design-to-manufacturing transfer and feed lessons back into design standards.
• Support new product introductions, design changes, and lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards.
• Provide direct technical support across all three shifts as needed.
