Job summary

GE Vernova in Richmond, VA seeks a Production Supervisor to lead the Generator Winding shop, driving safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You will coordinate staffing and schedules to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, while partnering with technical leads and quality technicians to ensure smooth execution across shifts.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in manufacturing leadership, plus lean manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, repair, or services environment.
• Prior leadership experience in a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production leadership for the Generator Winding shop team to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet customer requirements, production schedules, and key objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Lead first-line shop activities across multiple shifts, partnering with Technical Leads, Quality Technicians, and other support functions to ensure smooth execution of work.
• Review production orders, execute schedules, and remove barriers that could impact output, quality, or timeliness.
• Identify and solve problems, eliminate waste, and drive visual management and Daily Management System discipline across the department.
• Analyze equipment, skill, and process issues, take corrective action, and help minimize downtime and disruption to schedules.
• Support process improvement efforts and assist the Cell Leader in making decisions that improve repairs execution and resource use.
• Perform administrative responsibilities such as time sheet review and approval, labor vouchering, requisitions, and workforce scheduling.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members to strengthen performance, teamwork, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Use strong communication and leadership skills to support a positive, accountable, and high‑performing team environment.
