Job summary

nLIGHT in Camas, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to ensure the assembly cell meets daily demand and schedules. The role involves directing staff, training, and maintaining safety and quality standards while contributing up to 50% direct labor.

Qualifications

• MSIII certification or 3+ years equivalent experience.
• Associates degree preferred; experience leading teams or projects.
• Lean manufacturing and process improvement proficiency.
• Ability to lead a team and train staff.
• Strong knowledge of ERP and MOM transactions; proficient in Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing assignments to meet customer demand and production schedules.
• Assign tasks, provide support, and follow up with team members.
• Launch shift with proper resourcing and participate in turnover meetings.
• Provide mid-shift status and end-of-shift performance updates with actions for recovery.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and ensure safety/quality standards.
