Job summary

nLIGHT, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to ensure the assembly cell meets daily demand and production schedule. The role includes hands-on support up to 50% of direct labor and training, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will lead a team, drive Lean manufacturing and 5S, coordinate staffing, document issues, and participate in continuous improvement. This position requires cross-functional collaboration and commitment to the company culture.

Qualifications

• Lean and process improvement experience.
• Ability to lead teams or projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MOM systems.
• Ability to train and motivate team members.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing assignments to meet customer demand and production schedules.
• Lead shift starts and coordinate turnover meetings.
• Provide shift updates with issues and recovery actions.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Ensure clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Identify and support continuous improvement and Lean/5S activities.
• Collaborate with support staff to resolve issues.
