Job summary

nLIGHT, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to manage a high‑volume assembly cell in Camas, WA, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role includes direct labor up to 50% for assembly tasks and coaching the team to meet daily demand and schedules.

Schedule is Mon–Fri, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, with opportunities to impact Lean initiatives and continuous improvement programs across the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on assembly, precision fabrication and product quality testing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading shift teams and coordinating with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee WIP movement across shifts to meet projections.
• Lead shift production objectives by monitoring machine and personnel performance.
• Prioritize work to meet production schedules with supervisors.
• Participate in staffing projections and shift turnover meetings.
• Launch the shift with effective resourcing and productivity.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and 5S activities for continuous improvement.
• Identify cost-saving ideas and report safety incidents.
