Job summary

nLIGHT, Inc. in Camas, Washington, is seeking Manufacturing Technicians to sustain high-volume production, troubleshoot equipment, and support process improvements for semiconductor diodes lasers and fiber optic devices.

You will work on a Sunday-Tuesday shift with mid-week coverage, collaborating with process engineering, documenting procedures, and contributing to lean initiatives while maintaining clean and organized work areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as an MSIII or 1+ years in a high-volume production environment involving electronics or semiconductor equipment.
• Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Demonstrated basic understanding of technology and equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills and comfort with learning new tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of automated production tools, ensuring high quality, throughput and utilization.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, collect data, and communicate status and proposed solutions.
• Define and execute routine maintenance and calibration of process equipment.
• Collaborate with process engineering to drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime.
• Provide leadership, training, and certification support for production personnel.
• Document processes in prototype and high-volume lines in collaboration withEngineering.
• Lead by example in eliminating equipment issues from Production's critical path.
• Apply analytical methods (SPC, DOE, Lean, Six Sigma) to drive improvements.
• Perform manufacturing builds and other tasks to meet production goals.
