Job summary

nLIGHT, Inc. in Camas, WA is hiring Manufacturing Specialists to support growing laser semiconductor production. No prior manufacturing experience is required; on-the-job training is provided, with multiple shifts available to cover 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities include learning electromechanical assembly, operating test equipment, and using hand and laser tools. Strong attention to safety and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Learns and performs electromechanical assembly operations
• Operates test equipment
• Uses manual and electronic tools for mechanical and optical assembly
• Enters production data into computer-based system
• Contributes as a valued team member
• Performs various production tasks which may include working in a clean room environment, wearing clean room garments, using a microscope, handlingsolvents, and working with tools
• Engages in production activities according to the documented work instructions and standards
• Identifies and reports any irregularities which are not compliant with work instructions
• Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and complies with all safety standards
• Checks equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity
• May engage in basic troubleshooting
• Employees use a variety of hand tools, soldering tools, laser tools, and custom-built equipment for assembly and testing.
