Job summary

nLIGHT in Camas, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor II to lead swing-shift production in a high-volume, cleanroom environment. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals while developing a capable team.

The role requires coordinating across functions, coaching staff, and applying Lean, 5S, and problem-solving methods. Onsite schedule Tue–Sat 5:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m., with opportunities for extra hours.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of manufacturing leadership experience directing employees and achieving goals.
• Five or more years in a high-volume or technically complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team of comparable size and operational complexity.
• Experience monitoring production metrics and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Leads swing-shift production operations for ~20+ staff and serves as escalation point.
• Maintains a safe, inclusive, compliant workplace and enforces policies.
• Reviews priorities, staffing, and equipment status; adjusts resources to meet goals.
• Coordinates across departments to resolve constraints and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Assigns work, communicates priorities, leads daily manufacturing meetings.
• Builds team capability through onboarding, cross-training, and coaching.
• Addresses attendance, conduct, and corrective action with HR partnership.
• Leads Lean, 5S, and root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.
