GSI Assumption is seeking a talented, passionate, and highly motivated professional to join the team as a Team Lead. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and support to ensure the assigned cell meets the plan build schedule. Ensure effective and efficient operational performance regarding areas assigned. Establish and implement programs (with support of Production and Business Unit Manager) to meet operational targets related to productivity, lean, cost, quality, safety, housekeeping, delivery schedules, throughput, process improvements, and employee development.

You will work onsite at our Assumption IL facility.

Your Impact

• Meet and exceed production and delivery schedules, budgets, and targets
• Promote a work environment of continuous improvement through proactive process improvement programs.
• Foster a team environment through effective communication and delegation.
• Engage support personnel to achieve departmental and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with relevant departments and suppliers.
• Handle staffing, interviewing, safety investigations, coaching, and training.
• Ensure daily operational goals are met, including safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
• Maintain effective communication and documentation during shift changeovers.
• Conduct cycle counts and manage inventory accuracy.
• Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Comply with safety and quality management systems and report unsafe practices or incidents.
• Participate in safety and health programs.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as assembly, welding, machining, painting.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and ERP systems like SAP preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to analyze data and develop strategies.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
• Results-oriented with good organizational skills.

Your Workplace

Work onsite at our Assumption, IL facility, involving exposure to loud noise, extreme temperatures, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods. Personal protective equipment is required.
