The Store Team Leads serve as senior-level Retail Associates responsible for the day-to-day activities of the production side of the Operations, including donation door and donated goods processing. They are accountable for the quality and quantity of donations sent to the sales floor. Their main responsibility is ensuring store goals are met during their shift while actively participating in donation collection and production duties. This position is for experienced retail associates who lead by example and seek growth within the organization. Key skills include a strong donor focus, donation process knowledge, ability to operate independently, and understanding of business demands.
In addition to retail associate duties, the Store Production Team Lead will also:
Education, Experience, and Expectations: High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of retail experience; ability to interact respectfully with people with disabilities; professionalism; adherence to policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain it within six months; DSP training or ability to complete within a year; proficiency with Google or Microsoft Office; confidentiality; strong communication skills; diversity and inclusion awareness; punctuality; alignment with LLGI’s mission and values.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, push/pull heavy loads, bend, reach, perform tasks for extended periods, and evaluate donations visually and olfactorily.
Environmental Conditions: Work in a light industrial/warehouse environment with exposure to temperature extremes and allergens.
Tools and Equipment: Includes cash registers, carts, z-racks, handheld devices, pallet jacks, and other retail equipment.
Regular Contacts: LLGI staff, volunteers, vendors, the public, donors, and service participants.
