Job summary

USG in the United States is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and employees, supporting talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce development, benefits administration, and engagement in a manufacturing setting.

The role delivers hands‑on HR support while partnering with employees and leaders to ensure alignment with business objectives and company values, with occasional support for other locations. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
• Two to five years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and HR compliance activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and maintain hourly and salaried job descriptions, and support recruitment efforts with HRSC and hiring managers.
• Assist with onboarding activities for new employees and participate in sourcing, interviewing, and candidate selection.
• Support leadership development, succession planning, and employee growth initiatives, plus deliver training programs.
• Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors on development and performance management.
• Assist with investigations involving employee relations and policy compliance; support corrective action processes.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities and communications; participate in safety and incident investigation teams.
